We are looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented Electrical engineer experienced with Analog and Digital Power Supply Design to join an engineering organization that designs and delivers leading edge communications products.

This person will be responsible for the design and development of circuitry and PWB layout best practices in power supply development for tactical radios and PA accessories. This individual will be a member of a cross functional development team with hands on responsibility for leading aspects of design, analysis, integration, and testing.

This Engineer will be responsible for championing innovative systems approaches and evaluating strategic technology developments. The Engineer should be experienced in leading initiatives beyond their own core technical specialty.


DESIRED (not required) SKILLS:


:: 4+ years of experience in a power supply design role (including simulation and analysis)
:: 3+ years of experience with schematic capture tool usage (DxDesigner and PADS preferable)
:: US citizenship is required (ability to obtain US Government Secret Security Clearance)
:: Experience with Power Supply simulation tools (LTSPICE, Matlab, etc.)
:: Experience with Isolated Convertor topologies and design principles including PFC
:: Experience designing / evaluating power supplies for compliance with MIL-STD-704 or MIL-STD-1275
:: Knowledge of EMI design and test techniques for conducted and radiated emissions (MIL-STD-461)
:: Experience in DFM analysis and implementation for volume manufacturing
:: Experience with DOORS or equivalent requirements management tools
:: Experience with Configuration Management software (Agile preferred)


Duties and Responsibilities
== Support Power Supply hardware research, design, and development of DC-DC and AC-DC (3-phase and single-phase) topologies for applications with power consumption up to 2kW
== Application of the principles and techniques of electrical engineering
== Make design decisions and assess technical risks
== Perform simulation and analysis on Power Supply circuitry
== Perform integration with other subsystems including RF and Digital circuitry
== Perform subsystem and system level verification and validation testing
== Identify, track and repair assigned hardware defects
== Provide direction to other engineering resources on project teams as required
